This photograph, taken by Matthew D'Agostino for the White House Historical Association on October 28, 2019, presents a southern view as seen from the South Lawn of the White House. The South Fountain, encircled by a ring of orange flowers, appears in the foreground of the center of the photograph, with the Jefferson Monument visible beyond. The towering Washington Monument dominates the horizon on the left side of the photograph. This photograph was taken prior to a Halloween event held on the South Lawn by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
